Though I’m not a member of your church, I have very fond memories of a very special day, April 26, 1975. The marriage of my daughter Kimberly Ann Higgins and Eric A. Moffett. This lasting and beautiful marriage took place among many friends and family members. Our family has now been blessed with four wonderful children of Eric and Kim’s and two beautiful grandchildren. You know the rest!

Thanks for a Great 175^th Birthday!

On October 4^th and 5^th, Carmel Friends celebrated 175 years of serving God in the Carmel community. Mayor Jim Brainard declared October 4, 2008 “Quaker Heritage Day”. The proclamation was read at our Saturday evening program by Councilman Eric Sidensticker since the mayor was out of town.

Our celebration was threefold. It was a time of Remembering, Rejoicing and Rededicating. Saturday, we enjoyed sharing memories, popcorn, and snow cones! We rejoiced that we have been a Christian influence in the Carmel community for 175 years. On Sunday, our Ministry and Counsel Board shared from their hearts that a healthy church in the future depends on our congregation learning how to relate to each other in forgiveness and love.

Many thanks to everyone who had a part in planning our celebration.
