"Jesus Christ is alive and we are committed to following him and being transformed through living in forgiveness and love and sharing our personal experiences of Christ with others."
 
Vision[2]
"Carmel Friends is a loving, Christ-centered community that nurtures all people – especially those who feel forgotten – to become all God intends them to be."
 
Values[3]
Carmel Friends is a family of Christians ...
Where everyone …
ž     Seeks a relationship with God – more than “religion”
ž     Seeks a relationship with one another – more than “playing church”
ž     Feels acceptance and belonging
ž     Is appreciated – and knows it
ž     Contributes their time, talents, and “treasure” as God gifts them and prompts them.
About whom others say, “We see and experience God through them” because ...
ž     The Spirit is embraced
ž     Forgiveness is experienced
ž     Love is felt
ž     Lives are changed

[2]   The Vision statement should answer the question: "What will CFC be like in 5-10 years if it is successful in the pursuit of its Mission?"
[3]    The Values statement should answer the question: "What qualities will characterize how CFC will carry out its Mission to fulfill its Vision?"
