CARMEL LITTLE FRIENDS PRESCHOOL
& MOTHER’S DAY OUT
Fall is here! Hurrah! We are deep into looking and listening and collecting items of autumn!
Our “Bundle for Haiti” project is going very well. We will finish up five bundles this week.
We are looking forward to our Pumpkin-Carving Night with our Dads and Grandpas! Both children and Dads will enjoy an evening filled with fall snacks and a children’s program.
Our project in November is to help with the Food Pantry. Our Bible stories in November will be Noah and the Ark and Moses.
MDO is running smoothly with lots of “smiles” on children & staff. Julie Thornburg is busy assembling our cookbook, which will be available in December, for holiday gifts.
November is the month when we are reminded to thank God for our blessings. We will make our own butter and cornbread to celebrate Thanksgiving. We are also working on the music for our Christmas programs. It is a happy time!
Happy Thanksgiving! Carmel Little Friends Preschool.
Jeannine Koon, Director
CORAM DEO ACADEMY
Our first two months of our first year have gone extremely well, and Coram Deo is off to a great beginning. We are grateful to the Lord for His blessing on us in these early years. One of God’s great blessings to us has been this facility and wonderful community of believers at Carmel Friends Church. You are a delight to
work with and your building is a great setting for our students. Thank you so much for allowing us to meet in your facility.
We are also thankful for God’s continued grace and provision as He continually unifies us in mind and spirit. Some of the upcoming events at the school are Reformation Day (October 30), Grandparents Day (November 14), and our Christmas program (December 16). Please continue to keep us in your prayers, that we may glorify God in all that we do and teach.

FRIENDS DISASTER SERVICE
Approximately 2,500 HOMES IN THE Columbus area have flood damage. Friends Disaster Service was able to work on a dozen of these. They were so damaged that all of their interior had to come out. Drywall was removed down to the studs. The lumber had to dry before the rebuilding could begin.
Ray Oman worked on these houses for three weeks. Sandcreek-Azalia Friends Church provided housing for the workers, which included Mildred Adams, Pam & Lane Sims, and several other members of Friends Disaster Service from Indiana and Ohio.
Ray, Mildred & Pam installed laminate flooring in one home. Lane helped to install a porch and roof on another home. Friends Disaster Service only made a dent in the number of damaged homes, but it is a start, and the people were most appreciative.
Please respond to the calls that Friends Disaster Service issues and help show Christ’s love to those in need.
